My Fortinet 60E firewall doesn’t have a hard drive so logs are stored either in flash memory or on Fortinet’s Cloud.   Flash memory will eventually fail from R/Ws.   So I created an Ubuntu Rsyslog server to write the logs to.  By default Rsyslog is installed on Ubuntu Servers.    Below is the code I used to split up the log files into several groups:  Firewall, geofencing, and local stuff.

sudo cat 50-default.conf
:msg,contains,”[UFW ” /var/log/ufw/ufw.log
& stop

:msg,contains,”NAC quarantine” /var/log/Firewall/NAC_quarantine.log
& stop

:msg,contains,”Reserved” /var/log/Firewall/Reserved_RFC1819.log
& stop

:msg,contains,”China” /var/log/Firewall/geofencing/China.log
& stop

:msg,contains,”Estonia” /var/log/Firewall/geofencing/Estonia.log
& stop

:msg,contains,”Hong Kong” /var/log/Firewall/geofencing/HongKong.log
& stop

:msg,contains,”Iran, Islamic Republic of” /var/log/Firewall/geofencing/Iran.log
& stop

:msg,contains,”Korea, Democratic” /var/log/Firewall/geofencing/NK.log
& stop

:msg,contains,”Pakistan” /var/log/Firewall/geofencing/Pakistan.log
& stop

:msg,contains,”Russian” /var/log/Firewall/geofencing/RussianFederation.log
& stop

:msg,contains,”Romania” /var/log/Firewall/geofencing/Romania.log
& stop

:msg,contains,”Ukraine” /var/log/Firewall/geofencing/Ukraine.log
& stop

:msg,contains,”Vietnam” /var/log/Firewall/geofencing/Vietnam.log
& stop

:msg,contains,”Firewall” /var/log/Firewall/Firewall.log
& stop
