I converted two old Intel i5 computers into Ubuntu 22.04 / Kernel 6.2 computers for our two children.   They need networking to play mindcraft and do other stuff.   I can’t easily run CAT 6 to the locations.   I checked online and many people recommended this wifi USB dongle.   So as always, I create a page and start my tech notes.

After I added the following lines to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf Linux again loads the more performant RTL88x2BU module:

blacklist rtw88_core blacklist rtw88_8822b blacklist rtw88_usb blacklist rtw88_8822bu
